Rebecca West become one of the primary literary figures of the 20 th century, recognized for her lifelong dedication to feminist issues. West was an across the world acclaimed journalist, novelist, literary critic and journey creator. Renowned for her stylish prose and wit, George Bernard Shaw stated that “[she] can cope with a pen as brilliantly as ever I could and lots greater savagely.”
The youngest of 3 daughters, West turned into born Cicely Fairfield in 1892 in Ireland.
